Having already cemented his place on the scene with a flurry of vibrant efforts these last few years, Utah's OLSO is back on the grind once again with his bouncing new offering 'The Same'.
Bringing back more of that shimmering dance-pop energy he has built for himself, 'The Same' makes for a rousing return for the producer at the helm. With its rich and sun-kissed aesthetic perfectly set to some wondrous vocals throughout, he is definitely one to keep a firm eye on for the months ahead.
So with the new single available to stream now, we sat down with him to find out more about his origins and influences over the years.

What was the first band or artist you fell in love with?
U2. “How to dismantle an Atomic Bomb” was probably the first time I realized music could make me feel something.
Did you ever form a band when you were younger and if so, what did they sound like?
I would play with my mom a lot! She was who got me into music and loved to play with her. We sounded awesome, I’m sure. Well, she did. can’t say the same for younger me. ;)
What has been your primary inspiration in writing music?
I’m chasing the feeling of falling in love with how something sounds. If a song or artist can do that, that’s something special.
What is a song you wish you had written yourself?
Midnight City by M83. It’s a perfect song.
If there was any moment in your career you could relive, what would it be?
I’m not quite sure! I think those moments are still ahead of me - but I was able to put on a show in my hometown that was really special. All my friends and family were there, I’ll never forget that night! Hopefully there's a lot more of those in the future.
Which artist would you most love to share a stage with?
Tough question! In a dream scenario, Skrillex. His energy is unmatched.
And is there an artist you would love to collaborate with as well?
Kenny Beats. He’s the guy.
Where do you see yourself in five years time?
Doing this! Hopefully I’ll be making music with very talented and inspiring people, nerding out over hardware gear and chasing a super loud but clear master level around like -6 LUFS.
