What was the first instrument you learned to play?

Wessel: I started playing the keys when I was a baby. My dad’s playing keys too and I loved him playing. We always had a Piano in our living room. I learned a lot from my dad and I took lessons when I turned six years old.

Zep: I always joint my father on tour when I was a kid and sat behind the drummer watching him play. I knew I wanted to do that to one day, it happened.

What was the first album you remember owning?

Wessel: My first album was This Is It by Micheal Jackson I got it from my dad and I listened to day by day, that album was very inspiring for me.

Zep: I got Lost and Found by Ledisi from my drum teacher when I was 10 years old. This album introduced me to new rhythms and harmonies and made me start listing to lyrics.

Did you ever form a band when you were younger and if so, what did they sound like?

We were on the High School for music and dance and of course we did the music side haha. We did a lot of bands and played a lot of music. Mostly a bit pop/jazzy.

What is a song you wish you had written yourself?

Wessel: For me it’s definitely Here Comes The Sun by The Beatles. The vibe and meaning is too perfect I still don’t get it.

Zep: Going Back To My Roots by Odyssey. Damn I wish I grew up in that era. It’s such a vibe & sound that has developed in music nowadays.

What has been the most thrilling moment about creating your own music?

Hard to say because it’s still going on. The studio time. When you start with a song and it goes from sketch to masterpiece.

And what about the most frustrating part?

When it doesn’t work. Mostly mental. When the vibe isn’t there and the inspiration is far from you.

Which artist would you most love to share a stage with?

That’s not one artist. We would love to share the stage with Frank Ocean, Ye, 070 Shake, Kid Cudi and The Brintex Collective at the same time.

Where do you see yourself in five years time?

Still dreaming. Still making a lot of songs. Doing a world tour with the people near to us. Collaborations with other great artists. Helping the people that need help.
