Following on from the release of their much-loved studio album 'Fast Cars' last year, Oregon-based outfit Laundry now return with their latest indie-pop delight 'Don't You Dare'.
Channelling a warm mix of dream-pop and surf-rock aesthetics throughout, 'Don't You Dare' makes for a wonderfully vibrant return from the group. Filled with energetic hooks and some truly toe-tapping moments, this one will be stuck in your head long after you've first heard it.
So with the new single available now, we sat down with Riley from the band to find out more about her background and influences over the years.

What was the first instrument you learned to play?
Ukulele, when I was 4. Nowadays I teach uke to homeschool kids online!
What was the first album you remember owning?
Tom Petty - Highway Companion. All slaps front to back.
Did you ever form a band when you were younger and if so, what did they sound like?
Yes, and it was terrible! Lol. The best advice I ever got from a musician was to just jam with other musicians and let yourself suck, not to be too hard on yourself. It takes time to get better.
What is a song you wish you had written yourself?
Speed Racer - Her's. It's my favorite cover we've ever done.
What has been the most thrilling moment about creating your own music?
The payout the first time we get to hear the final mixes after recording! I love seeing the vision come together.
And what about the most frustrating part?
Sometimes the songs we like the most aren't the ones everyone else likes the most. That's just how it goes though!
Which artist would you most love to share a stage with?
I'm sure this would be different for all of us, but for me it would have to be Paul McCartney.
Where do you see yourself in five years time?
Making music, cruising around in the van, same thing basically!
