What was the first band or artist you fell in love with?

First artist I can remember falling in love with was actually Outkast. The chemistry between Andre and Big Boi was electric, my last name is also Jackson so I definitely heard a lot of Mrs. Jackson growing up.

Did you ever form a band when you were younger and if so, what did they

sound like?

Although I never formed a band when I was younger, I would make my sister listen to all the songs I would write. I definitely wanted to though, I thought the Jonas Brothers were the coolest dudes growing up.

What has been your primary inspiration in writing music?

My biggest inspiration is far and away just the potential that more people will get to hear it. I love being on stage, there's no greater feeling to me. So for the chance to put my heart into the whole process of creating a sound that I love knowing I can find a way for more people to find and enjoy it is the root of what keeps me going.

What is a song you wish you had written yourself?

That's a great question, I don't think I'd want to write it word for word since it's such a personal song but 2009 by Mac Miller is what stands out to me. The introspection of his career ten years ago to fighting new battles and being able to convey so much emotion through the track was incredible. To be able to get that deep about myself and career ten years from now is a goal of mine, and Mac inspired that most definitely.

If there was any moment in your career you could relive, what would it be?

Easily the first show I ever performed. It was a smaller venue and was actually located at a shop in Stockton that had a stage room. My friends and family alike showed up from all over to support and I felt the love all night. That was the first moment I knew I could do this, and continue doing it on bigger stages. There was no anxiety, no nerves, I was ready that whole time. The love was in the air all night and it's a core memory for sure.

Which artist would you most love to share a stage with?

Oh man, there's a lot. If I'm picking one it has to be Ski Mask the Slump God. Dude has that IT factor on stage, everyone's turning up and having the best time possible. That's what I live for, that's my goal. Get people lit, make it a night to remember, get that venue turning it to levels you couldn't imagine.

And is there an artist you would love to collaborate with as well?

Again there's so many. If we're talking about a producer, I've wanted to work with Cal-A since day one. He's got the bay sound on lock right now and I know him and I would cook something out of this world. Artist wise top of the list right now is Blxst. His vocals are top tier and can add so much to a track. Definitely one of my favorites in the game right now.

Where do you see yourself in five years time?

I know we can only go up. I want the Bay Area to be known worldwide and I know it's achievable. Definitely see a tour in my future and some more collaborations as well. It's hard to gauge where exactly, but I fully believe the audience will grow and the sky is the limit.
