For DJ Artin, electronic music has always been about more than the drop. The blind DJ, producer and storyteller has built a growing reputation by pairing uplifting dance production with deeply personal narratives, creating tracks that connect through emotion as much as energy. His latest single 'Free Summers', featuring Clarsy Mae, continues that approach, blending euphoric festival-ready melodies with a heartfelt reflection on nostalgia, freedom and the memories that shape us.

Driven by shimmering synths, infectious hooks and a soaring vocal performance, Free Summers captures the feeling of chasing those carefree moments that seem to slip further away with time. It’s another step forward for an artist who continues to challenge expectations, not only through his music but also through his storytelling, offering a unique perspective on creativity, resilience and life within the electronic music world.

So with the new track out now, we sat down with him to find out more about his origins and influences over the years.

What was the first band or artist you fell in love with?

I didn’t fall in love with an artist ever, but what I still really admire is the music of Avicii because of his unique creativity he brought to the industry.

What has been your primary inspiration in writing music?

I haven't written any songs yet. I’m a DJ and producer. But I mostly ask the songwriter to write about a specific theme which is important for me.

If there was any moment in your career you could relive, what would it be?

One thing would be to perform at Bootshaus Club in Cologne again. That experience, to play in front of over 1,000 people was something unique.

The other thing is that I really would like to meet Nicky Romero and Afrojack again, that was a very special moment in my career.

Which artist would you most love to share a stage with?

It also would be Nicky Romero and Afrojack

And is there an artist you would love to collaborate with as well?

Kygo would be a big dream to collaborate with.

Where do you see yourself in five years time?

I aim to build out my DJ career until that time and become more famous in the EDM industry.

It would be great to perform in the UK, for example at Creamfields. Also it would be a big dream of mine to perform at Tomorrowland, Ultra and many more renowned festivals and clubs.

Also another milestone is to produce my first album with singer / songwriters, for example Sarah de Warren, Laura White, Joe Jury and many more.
