Drawing inspiration from small-town memories, open roads, and the moments that quietly shape our lives, independent singer-songwriter Brooke Hall continues to establish herself as a thoughtful and authentic storyteller. Based between Louisville, Kentucky, and Southern Indiana, Hall has spent years turning personal experiences and observations into heartfelt songs that resonate long after the final note.

Her latest single 'The Ride' captures the excitement, freedom, and emotional weight of young love through vivid imagery and nostalgic songwriting, offering listeners a reminder of the fleeting connections that leave a lasting mark.

So with the new single out now, we sat down with her to find out more about her origins and influences over the years.

Did you ever form a band when you were younger and if so, what did they sound like?

Yes, I’ve been in several bands throughout the years.  I was always the drummer until the last original band I was in.  I’ve played in country bands, southern rock bands that played everything across the genres, and original bands.  The last band I was in was a 5-piece electric original band.  Then some people left the group, and we ended up being a 3 piece acoustic band.  I moved from the drumset to the cajon.  This is where I’d play guitar some in on songs and began putting my songs out there through my lead singer at the time.

What has been your primary inspiration in writing music?

The creativity, connection, and portraying a story from my own point of view.  Being able to take a moment in time, a story someone has shared, or to get my emotions out on paper and turn it into a song because I heard the melody in my head.

What is a song you wish you had written yourself?

Vampire by Jason Isbell

If there was any moment in your career you could relive, what would it be?

Playing music on 4th Street Live in Louisville, KY.  The road was packed with people, I was playing drums on this big stage with my band, and it was an adrenaline rush and so much fun.

Which artist would you most love to share a stage with?

Ashley McBryde

And is there an artist you would love to collaborate with as well?

Ashley McBryde

Where do you see yourself in five years time?

Writing songs, sharing them with the world, and playing venues to feed my soul and have the world melt away while I’m on the stage in my own world and in the moment.
