GET TO KNOW: Axel Farden

Having already established himself with a breadth of dazzling delights these last few years, Jakarta-born artist Axel Farden continues his upward ascent with his breezy new single 'Say My Name'.

Lifted from his latest studio album 'Alive', which is available to stream now, 'Say My Name' continues that rich and alluring aesthetic he has been crafting lately. With its warm and emotive grooves perfectly elevating his distinctive vocals throughout, he is certainly looking to turn plenty of heads with this one.

So with the new single available to stream now, we sat down with him to find out more about his origins and influences over the years.

What was the first band or artist you fell in love with? 

I fell in love with the sound of ZAYN’s music for the first time,heis the one who got me in and he was my first role model.

Did you ever form a band when you were younger and if so, what did they sound like? 

Yes, I did. It was when I was younger, and it was a pop rock little kids band, called Radja Cilik.

What has been your primary inspiration in writing music? 

My biggest and priority inspiration in music is experiencing it. When I write music I feel I need the energies of what we have been through or what came from the environment.

What is a song you wish you had written yourself? 

Mostly my songs are written by me, so I truly gave people what I felt and people that around me felt.

If there was any moment in your career you could relive, what would it be? 

Dreaming to be a well-known artist and for my songs to be heard and felt by most people who felt the same thing, so they could have company with it.

Which artist would you most love to share a stage with? 

I would love to be with The Weeknd,his set is awesome and I felt like his music really gave me the same energy for those people who listen to it.

And is there an artist you would love to collaborate with as well? 

I really want myself to collab with Metro Boomin and Future,but if out of R&B and Hip-Hop, I would love to try making music with Gracie Abrams.

Where do you see yourself in five years time?

Doing a world tour and having a multi-platinum record,and also giving the opportunity to people who felt alone, struggling with things, need something in their heart to be out, my music is for you.
