What was the first instrument you learned to play?
That was my family piano which I still play. I moved it from my native city to Moscow. If I ever move again I will take it with me certainly. It has unique sound, I'm addicted to it.
What was the first album you remember owning?
I believe it was Black Album of Metallica. Like all other boys around I started to play guitar learning Nothing Else Matters. Who could make it better was the coolest guy! I also remember learning to play solo from Unforgiven as the next level of skills. But I never managed to play it perfectly which made me believe I'm not a solo guitarist.
Did you ever form a band when you were younger and if so, what did they sound like?
Me and Roman formed our first band when we just started to study at the medical uni. No records luckily remained from that time. We sounded like... shit I believe.
What is a song you wish you had written yourself?
None, really. It's not enough to write good song. I know people who wrote really good songs, in my opinion, but failed to deliver it to the wide audience because of bad performance or mismanagement. A A Good song has a chance if all the components are there.
What has been the most thrilling moment about creating your own music?
I love the moment when I find a lyrical message which fits the music. At this moment the song is born. Sometimes it takes months to find out what the song is about.
And what about the most frustrating part?
When you spend ages developing the track and at some point we try it live with the band and it just doesn't work. I just can't get good emotions perfoming it. It's a sign for me that the track has a low potential and probably not worth any promo campaign.
Which artist would you most love to share a stage with?
If I go for names the list would be endless. Lately I discovered a great young band The Howlers from London. Cool guys, I'd be happy to play with them.
Where do you see yourself in five years time?
The scariest question ever. Whatever I say I sound like an idiot. Actually I am one if I still trying to make my way in the music business. So in five years I will become an idiot older for five years. That's what I can tell you for sure.
