Emmy Award-winning singer-songwriter Foy Vance has announced 'The Wake', his seventh studio album and the final entry in a long-conceived seven-album cycle, arriving on the 13th March via Rounder Records. The record marks the culmination of a 26-year creative odyssey that began with the loss of his father in 1999, a travelling preacher whose influence has remained central to Vance’s life and songwriting.

Produced by Ethan Johns (Paul McCartney, Ray LaMontagne), 'The Wake' promises a powerful blend of soul, folk, and blues, carried by Vance’s unmistakable grit and lyrical depth. The title reflects themes of both grief and rebirth, a recognition of what’s been lost and what remains in its place.

Alongside the announcement, Vance has shared a new single 'Hi, I’m The Preacher’s Son', a raw, autobiographical track that began as a riff written on his 50th birthday. It’s a reflective moment that captures the emotional core of the album, an acknowledgment of identity, inheritance, and the parts of ourselves that endure.
