German independent folk artist Fish And Scale, the project of Roland Wälzlein, has released his new single ‘Tapestry’.

Following the success of his album 'You Can Call Me LOVE', the latest release continues his deeply personal and introspective approach to songwriting. Known for blending folk influences with a more spiritual and reflective tone, his music often explores life’s bigger questions through emotive vocals and unconventional arrangements.

‘Tapestry’ draws directly from Wälzlein’s own childhood experience of undergoing major heart surgery. The track revisits the emotional intensity of that moment, capturing feelings of fear, isolation, and the search for comfort in unfamiliar surroundings. Beginning with a stripped-back atmosphere, the song gradually builds into a more expansive and powerful composition.

With ‘Tapestry’, Fish And Scale continues to establish himself as a distinctive voice within the indie-folk space.
