Clarkston, Georgia trio Blackfoot Daisy are back with their first new music since 2023, unveiling the spirited new single 'Stretch My Plum'. Rooted in old-time string band traditions, the track blends guitar, ukulele, violin and washboard into a lively, ragtime-leaning groove packed with close-knit harmonies and acoustic drive.

'Stretch My Plum' leans into classic Americana textures while adding a mischievous twist. Using the exaggerated language of professional wrestling as cheeky double meaning, the song delivers a flirtatious sense of humour without straying from its traditional foundations. The result is upbeat, character-led roots music that doesn’t take itself too seriously.

Founded by songwriters Wendy DuMond and Don Sechelski, Blackfoot Daisy are known for inventive arrangements and a rich blend of instruments including mandolin, flute and foot-operated percussion. Their latest release highlights the trio’s tight ensemble playing and storytelling craft, reintroducing the band with a high-energy track full of personality and charm.
