The heady days of student unions blasting out 'Pompeii' at any given night may be over now, but Bastille are still showing that are far from falling out of favour a decade later as they deliver their latest effort 'Distorted Light Beam'.
Lifted from their forthcoming studio album, which is being announced soon, 'Distorted Light Beam' shows the group in a far darker guise than we are used to. Gone are the glittering hooks and euphoric textured, as their newest release produces a far more brooding direction, giving us plenty to think about when the new LP arrives.
