Wisconsin's Anna Dahl bursts out of her hometown with the kind of confidence that makes you sit up and take notice. Her debut EP 'Little Bit Country' is a four-track statement of intent, delivering something smart, playful, and unafraid to mix twang with attitude. From the very first note, she proves she’s a storyteller with a sharp sense of humour and a knack for making country-rock feel modern and personal.

Standout single 'C-O-W-B-O-Y' is a cheeky, high-spirited romp that turns the classic cowboy narrative on its head. Dahl flirts, laughs, and asserts herself with every line, transforming a familiar trope into a bold declaration of independence. 'Top Shelf' keeps the energy rolling, flipping barroom bravado into an anthem of self-respect that hits with both wit and bite. Meanwhile, 'Take Me to the Ritz' rides the tension between daylight thrills and evening indulgence, its carefree chorus echoing the EP’s central message that life should be lived on your terms. And when the lights dim, 'Weight of a Heartbreak' surfaces, showcasing Dahl’s softer side and sharing a ballad of loss rendered with subtlety and hope.

Recorded at Nashville’s Sound Emporium and guided by producer Don Miggs, the EP balances polish with personality. Each track lands with precision, yet never feels constrained. The result feels both radio-ready and intimate, a rare combination in a genre often caught between tradition and reinvention.

'Little Bit Country' is a declaration as she celebrates freedom, joy, and self-assurance without apology. From playful hooks to moments of quiet reflection, she stakes her claim on the country-rock landscape with both skill and style.
